Giant Eyeball Park Meets Faux Grass
A 30-foot-tall eyeball was built in the middle of Downtown Dallas, TX by artist Tony Tasset. The huge fiberglass sculpture is one of the city's most identifiable landmarks, yet it continues to perplex many. The giant eye is modeled after the eye of Tony Tasset and now sits on 12,000 square feet of SYNLawn® artificial grass. Every year, the park is visited by thousands of people and that means that traditional grass would take a beating from the barrage of footsteps. Thankfully, SYNTipede 343 is more than capable to handle heavy foot traffic while maintaining its naturally luxurious appearance. This Mississippi artificial grass does not require any of the traditional maintenance that you can expect of real grass and thanks to its UV-stabilized yarns, its pure color pigments won’t fade. The first is Sanitized® antimicrobial:
Sanitized® provides a silver-based antibacterial technology that helps to decrease pet odors while also offering long-term protection. It works by eliminating bacterial odors and inhibiting the formation of germs on the SYNLawn® face fibers.
Next is DualChill™ thermal shield:
DualChill™ has the ability to act as a temperature barrier that strengthens the fibers, making them more resistant and resilient over time. The results of tests on the same fiber bundle with and without DualChill™ show that IR reflectivity increases by up to 42% on average.
Finally, is StatBlock™ anti-static:
A revolutionary carbon-based anti-static component that is molecularly bonded to the face fiber prevents static electricity. Anti-static components are used in the industry, but SYNLawn® is the first to reach the DNA level. With StatBlock™, static levels are lowered by up to 17x attached to synthetic grass fibers.
EnviroLoc™ backing technology by SYNLawn®, which is both environmentally safe and incredibly durable, is a critical component of our artificial grass's reliability. This chemical, which is manufactured from soybean oil and other recyclable ingredients, "locks" turf threads in place, preventing them from being plucked or shed as easily as ordinary grass under heavy foot traffic or severe sports activity. A porous body is also supplied, allowing for efficient drainage, and allowing pets, children, and other family members to resume activities almost immediately following a downpour or spill.
Finally, SYNTipede 343 provides unmatched safety. This faux grass solution is IPEMA and ADA compliant to prevent common injuries and cushion falls up to 10-feet and has earned an ASTM E108 Class A Fire Rating. This rating gives first responders more time to arrive and prevents both extreme injury and property damage.
