Supporting Soy Farmers and the Planet

To make all of this possible, SYNLawn partnered with US soy farmers. With their help, we are able to source local materials such as soybean oil in our backing system, and sugar cane in our turf fibers. The use of these plant-based components allows us to replace up to 60% of the petroleum materials that are traditionally used in other synthetic grass products. We are delighted to assist American farmers and open up new job opportunities by using their soybeans, in addition to employing a naturally grown, sustainable substance to help reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

The Exclusive Green Backing System, EnviroLoc+™

The EnviroLoc+ backing system is manufactured with a strong 2-part woven polypropylene and polyester backing. After tufting, the EnviroLoc+ biobased coating is applied to the backing fabric and sewn grass fibers. These compounds work together to provide fibers a firm anchor, resulting in reduced “shedding” and synthetic grass that is better for the environment.

As a result of the support provided by EnviroLoc+, products that include EnviroLoc+ additionally include an effective antimicrobial by Sanitized®, assisting in the prevention of algae, fungus, allergies, and other diseases. The environment, animals, and plant life are all constantly disrupted by these microbes. Algae, for example, can deplete natural oxygen in water, resulting in a liquid that can be harmful to animals and stifle fruit and vegetable development.
